Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who worked as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 to 2022. A part of the Democratic Party, she previously served in the Obama administration as the White House deputy press secretary (2009) as well as the White House deputy communications director (2009-2011); the spokesperson of the United States Department of State (2013-2015); and the White House communications director (2015-2017. Psaki contributed to CNN's politics coverage from 2017 until 2020. Psaki began her professional career in 2001 with the re-election campaigns of Iowa Democrats Tom Harkin for the U.S. Senate and Tom Vilsack for governor. Psaki became John Kerry's deputy press secretary in 2004. Psaki worked as the director of communications for Joseph Crowley in the U.S. and was the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. In 2012, Psaki returned to political communications as the press secretary for President Obama's 2012 reelection campaign. 20 years ago, Psaki was appointed as spokesperson for the United States Department of State on February 11, 2013. [20] She was hired by the Department of State to fill the White House Press Secretary Jay Carney's position.[21] But, Josh Earnest took his place on May 30,2014. She returned to the White House in 2015 to serve as communications director. She remained with the Obama administration until its end.
